The Journey So Far
From a small team with a big idea to serving freelancers across 8 countries.
The Beginning
lancer Consulting was founded by two developers who had spent years navigating the freelancing world themselves. Frustrated by the gap between skilled professionals and the complex world of freelancing platforms, they started working from home offices with a simple idea: help other developers succeed. The first few months were spent taking on small projects and proving the revenue-sharing model could work.
Finding Our Footing
The first full year brought valuable lessons. We onboarded our first 5 freelancers, refined our project delivery workflow, and built simple internal tools for managing accounts. The team grew to 6 developers. We learned what worked and what didn't, establishing the core processes for client communication and quality assurance that still serve us today.
Building the Foundation
With a proven track record, we grew to 12 developers and started supporting freelancers in 4 countries. We launched our tiered pricing model and added support for multiple freelancing platforms. This was also the year we formalized our compliance framework, ensuring every action strictly adheres to platform terms of service.
Broadening Our Stack
We expanded to 20 senior developers and reached freelancers in 6 countries. The team invested in broadening our technology stack — adding PHP/Laravel, C#/.NET, WordPress, Shopify, and more to handle a wider range of projects. We crossed the 50-project milestone and introduced regular reporting for our clients.
Where We Are Now
Today we have 27 senior developers serving 20+ freelancers across 8 countries with over 80 projects delivered. Our team is large enough to cover every technology stack, yet tight-knit enough to give personal attention to every freelancer and every project. Our focus remains on quality over quantity, building lasting relationships and delivering work we're proud of.
